Why Josh?
Bridgeport students deserve the same opportunities as students in every other zip code in Connecticut, yet our schools continue to face the effects of inequitable funding. We need a leader who is serious about education equity, fully funding public schools, and supporting teachers, paras, and student services. We need a leader like Josh Elliott — because he understands those challenges and has made educational opportunity and fairness a real priority in his platform.
Josh is genuinely invested in listening — not talking at people, not being directive, but asking questions and seeking ideas. As a Town Councilor in Ledyard, I’m especially mindful of how often policies coming out of Hartford don’t reflect the realities of those of us in southeastern Connecticut. I believe Josh understands that dynamic and won’t forget about our corner of the state. His approach gives me confidence that he’ll keep our needs and perspectives in the conversation.
