Connecticut is among the best states in the nation for public education, but the worst in racial equality in education. Wealth-based disparities in school funding persist. We must do everything in our power to ensure every child in every zip code has a fair shot.

The solutions:

• End over-reliance on local property taxes to fund schools.

• Prioritize and fund special education and better address underserved school districts.

• Support universal early childhood education access. 

• Better funding and support for teachers and paras.
